I want an eyepiece suitable overall for the moon, deep sky objects, and planets. I want it to also help bring out the bands of Jupiter. Help.

Sorry but one eyepiece cannot do all of what you listed. What is the focal length of your telescope?

My EXT125 is 1900mm-- it should be written somewhere on the telescope.

Divide the "mm" shown on the eyepiece into the telescope focal lenth.

Example:

a 10mm eyepiece in the 1900mm ETX = 190 power.

You want a field of view of at least 60 degrees +, and if you wear glasses you need about 20mm of eye relief.

i discover that i take advantaje of my Meade 8.8mm extremely huje lot with my 11" f/4.3 Newtonian. I a quickly as in comparison the Meade to a Nagler 9mm, and the Najler became into of course greater suitable. i discover that for lunar and planetary watching, i take advantage of a 5 mm Radian lot. in case you purely want to purchase one eyepiece, id get the Najler 7mm.
