What would happen if the earth started spinning on a straight axis (not tilted)?

Earth is tilted at the angle of 23 and a half digrees. Due to tilted spin earth has different seasons like summer winter etc. If earth start spinning straight there will be no seasonal change.

Very simple - there would be no seasons.

Of course, that also mean most life a we know it on Earth dies.

it extremely is already at 23.5°. What could take place to ?it? if it have been tilted to 20°? it could be much less tilted. What could take place to Earth in lot of cases? Meteorologically, the seasons could be much less stated. Biologically, parasite, unchecked via utilising the chilly of winter, could take over the worldwide. .

Then, thered be very little variation for "seasons"... the only factor that would change the amount of sunlight we receive i the small variation in our orbit. Every day would be 12 hours long, and wed get basically one season all year long.

Kinda boring...

There would be much les distinct seasonal variation depending on how close the axi wa to being perpendicular to the orbital plane. Of course the reverse is true a the tilt increases. As it happen it i doing precisely that - very gradually - so in a few thousand years we will enter another ice age, even with the greenhouse effect, which i currently causing a planetary warming period. Thi i one of the reasons we see such an increase in the frequency and violence of extreme storm in the last century.

Probably other changes, too, but no more season is the only one I know about.
