If you haven"t read the graphic novel, it is basically the same exact as the movie except the ending. This doesn"t necessarily have to be a book, it can also be a movie. Watchmen is very philosophical, so I wanted to pick something that was also. It mainly explicates the difference between justice and injustice. It doesn"t have to be a valid fairy tale (i.e., Snow White, Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast). I have a friend comparing it to Harry Potter. I just need help thinking of suggestions. Thanks!

I think the two main themes of "The Watchmen" universe are betrayal and the disillusionment of absolute morality. That where Id start my search for a companion fairy tale.
