Im 15 and cherish physics,science etc but could you describe to me what is a dimension and how many are there?

There two kinds of dimensions--spatial and temporal. Spatial dimensions are directions in space. We know of three spatial dimensions and one temporal. M-theory proposes an additional six spatial dimensions that we cant see, presumably because they are rolled up so tightly.

Dimensions are basically different universe, only in a different place, and have the same amount of universes (theoretical). We dont know how many, but theres about 4-6 that we know about so far.

An extention in time.
Space-time has 3 dimensions of space and one of time
