 Post subject: Voltage drop across a cap?

I am use to goes along the lines of (Resistor)+V/Xl+V/Xc=0 to find find cap voltage drop (Resistor)+V/Xl-V/Xc=0 to find inductor voltage drop

I have forgotten how the resistor part of the formula is written. I can have the the formulas for the drop across inductor and cap inversed.
