When a 16.9 g sample of NaOH dissolves in 70.0g of water, the temperature rises from 22.4 degrees C to 86.6 degrees C. Calculate Delta H for the process.
Is this reaction endo or exo? NaOH(s) ------> Na+(aq) + OH-(aq)

a million.) 681.2 kj/mol 2.) 80.3 J/mol 3.) 665.14 kj/molK all 3 are the sum of goods minus the sum of reactants. yet because youre actually not given value for gibb unfastened ability you will come acros it with the equation deltaG= deltaH- temp x delta. A for the sencond a million/2 of each question I overlook and that i dont desire to respond to incorrectly

what you should know.
q=msT

q=(70 x4.184 x64.2)= 18,803 J/gC

delta H=q/mol

H=18,803/(16.9 g x((mol/40 g)=ANS

based on the eqn. change in phase (s) to (aq) ANS is positive a bond i broken
