The third law of Keplers said that the period of the orbiting body is determined by the orbital radius & the mass of the central object?
The third law of Keplers said that the period of the orbiting body is determined by the orbital radius & the mass of the central object. The Milky Way can be thought that the central mass is the combination of the mass of the inner disk & galactic nucleus. What is the Milky Ways mass that is located inside the Suns orbit?
1. Radius of the Suns orbit in AU
2. Mass of the Milky Way in solar masses:
Thank you
