About 8 months ago me and my sister were both lying in bed.
(Our bedrooms are on the top floor (3rd) of our 3 story new build house. The rooms are seperated by a small landing and a bathroom)
Our parents had both gone out and we heard a patterned knock (like a rhythm) on my sister"s room door. We BOTH heard it. At first I thought it was my dad who had come back to let her know something, like where the key is if we need it, but he hadnt.. he was still out. My sister shouted "what emily" at me.. and it freaked me out because it wasnt me.. then I thought she was trying to wind me up and it was really her, but it wasnt.

It was a loud knock DEFINATLY coming from her door..

Today I was in my room and my mum was in the bath (in the bathroom between mine and my sisters bedroom).
She called out "what" and obviously i didnt answer because i hadn"t called her, but she again said "emily what do you want" I told her i didnt need her, and she asked why I had knocked on the door. After explaining I hadnt, i reminded her of the time abi"s door was knocking too.

My sister is 20 this year, and I am 18. We are not young nor naive.
What are these noises
Could it be a ghost

These noises were definatly coming from the doors.

i do believe their is a ghost in Ur house, i wouldn"t let it loose i would explore around. Ur house go to the court house, liberty somewhere where u can get history on ur house make this thing feel safe it was probable its home be4 u moved in so go to the court house ask for the history on ur house n see what u found out..... i have had a couple experiences with ghost i do believe in ghost n maybe afraid u been their for a while u may see this thing. u never no.

Drafts in the house, an open window to cause a breeze (alternating air pressure from the turbulence it causes), air conditioning or heaters can all cause a door to pull slightly in and out within its frame and make such a sound.

Ghosts aren"t real, don"t let a natural phenomenon convince you they are.

You have a visitor that likes your attention....play around with it and test it see what it truly wants. Knock back....yes Ghost are real. I have heard of skeptics becoming believers because they moved in a haunted house.

Another thing to keep in mind, as if hormones don"t already complicate our lives enough, kinetic energy reaches it"s peak during times when hormonal levels are fluctuating at their wildest. Prepubescent and pubescent teenagers and woman who are either pregnant or menopausal are especially vulnerable to uncontrollable kinetic outbursts, and those moments just before sleep, when the conscious mind is handing control over to the subconscious mind, are typically the most chaotic.
Kinetic energy happens unconsciously, qualifying it as another phenomenon often confused with a haunting.....Something to think about.

There"s no good evidence that ghost are real or even if they were that they can make noises since they have no physical body to make noises with.
Did you have the air conditioner on That can make doors rattle rhythmically. Maybe it was the plumbing in the walls banging and just sounded like it came from the door
It"s pretty hard for any of us to debunk without every hearing the noise or seeing your house but next time you hear it jump up and try and trace the source, I"m sure you will find something normal not paranormal.

This could be a ghost but I doubt it. Best way to be sure is to get up and investigate the noise when it happens. I bet you will find someone playing a prank on you. Yes, ghost are real but most of the time noises are due to other natural mundane things. Always investigate and be sure the noise is not caused by something human, animal or other natural explanations before believing it is a ghost. In my experience with my first ghost. I saw the ghost and thought someone had broke into my home until he vanished. These are just a few there are many more. I like them because they do not declare every thing is a ghost but they also do not say that ghosts are rare either. For me this is a common sense view of ghosts and hauntings. The like me do believe ghosts are every where and that all of us can experience them in some way. There are many sites and good ones but this is my favorite.
