so back persist year I started taking vitamin d cause my Dr said it should help with some symptoms of ibs like the cramping. I took it and it did help, but 3 months after taking it my Dr said lets take your levels to make sure they arent too high. that was in february, my levels came back 32. he said its too low to continue with the d3 1000iu a day. so now persist month, instead of taking my bloodwork and seeing what my levels were he say I need to take d2 50,000 iu, once a week for 6 weeks, then 8 weeks after finishing, take my bloodwork. I started taking it a few days ago being my first dose. I have asked my Dr to do my old toil before I take this large dose but he says no, he wont do it until after I finish the therapy as he calls it. he says with me taking it for 3 months before testing a 32, that shows Im low and there is no way 1000iu will help it come back up. Im scared and dont want to overdose, but just wondering if this sounds right. its been like, 9-10 months of taking 1000iu with no blood toil but now 50,000 with no test to see where Im at. I know what some are going to say. go see another Dr. I cant. low income and do the best I can. my Dr has done good in everything else but this has me kinda scared.
