First of all I have no idea at all about science, so this all may sound stupid.

I esteem to notice shows on Astronomy and Physics. I recently saw a Michio Kaku show that questioned the Big Bang Theory... how could you create something out of "absolutely nothing"?

That got me thinking, what was before the Big BAng? Energy? How did the energy get there? Something had to be there before the Big Bang, but how did that "thing" get there
After watching that show the other day, Im starting to slim towards god. I often wonder if something created the laws of physics 14 billion years ago then said "alright, heres your Big Bang". HAHA
***, not to get in a theology debate, but, as I stated above, could god have created the universe 14 billion years ago?

The bible was written thousands of years ago by people who only knew what they knew. They werent scientists, they wrote down what they observed. If it was written today, they would write it based off of our knowledge today. .

Those leaning toward religion will argue from a Biblical standpoint that God created it all. The Bible doesnt say how he did it (other than the various days mentioned in Genesis; creating the sky, heavens, water, etc.) I prefer to think that he spoke and it came to what we now know it to be. If someone were around to record it all (which I think that the Holy Spirit was) it might have sounded like a big Bang but who knows? For this universe (and other universes) God had to stand (figure of speech) somewhere and create it all.

If we could reach the end of the universe, we might find Gods house (heaven, for a lack of a better term) and see a bright place with angels and the Trinity and look back and see a large (perhaps circular) expanse of blackness dotted by stars and suns and planets. Thats my theory.

I think because human-kind hasnt found the edges of the universe speaks to Gods infinite power and character and love. For in all of that tremendous expanse, we are all unique to Him.

Here the bottom line: nobody was there, nobody saw it, nobody knows.

a for christians: what a god?

a for big bang believers: what a universe?

No body knows

the Big Bang i OUR universe with it known laws
We had no space outside or time before. our universe IS space time

very smart people are thinking about it
, no good answer yet

that is why many people still say "god did it"

if you get an answer for this , someone will be in line for the nobel prize. they always say the big bang but they dont say what banged. some have said it was a piece of matter smaller than a grain of sand. I am prohibited from telling you what it actually was. keep thinking and it will come to you. each one of us is on our own journey.

imo, the big bang theory is wrong and the universe is actually static, eternal (i.e. there was no creation event!), and is quite possibly infinite. I reckon the redshifts of distant galaxies are not caused by expansion, but rather through light losing energy to dark matter in the intergalactic medium.

Here be dragons... Youre off the map. Youll drive yourself insane asking those question. Just take it a fact that something happened and matter exist.

The Big Bang theory is the best original solution we have available. It is based on the fact that energy has mass and mass generates gravity. Therefore a singularity i a physical, although difficult, possibility.

I buy off on a variation of the big bounce. That is where you have space. It collapses down to a singularity. However, it cannot maintain that level of extreme organization. That last tiny impact is the trigger. KaBoom!

My version has several smaller "bounce" spread through out the universe. Allowing the universe to expand, organize, and well be pretty.

i do no longer help the assumption. As you assert the branches of Physics, arithmetic, and topological astronomy beside a different sciences are just to lot to place all of it at the same time. remember the super bang i in basic terms a concept and not a actuality! It will no longer be able to be shown as a actuality! Even Hawkings will no longer be able to get lower back to point 0, and he under no circumstances will. the reason being hes calling for the commencing up. So, enable us to now positioned the super bang on the shelve for a minuet and enable us to look on the expanse of the universe as continually being there. no longer each little thing it is in it. yet an expanse that has continually been. weve a commencing factor! an empty eternal expanse that has continually been there. each little thing interior the expanse we see today has order This we call the universe. It keep to enhance interior the eternal expanse. each little thing follows each and all the regulations of physic, and math. So in basic term how did the three dimensional universe as all of u are conscious of it start up? all of u understand from Einsteins formula E=MC^2 that we are able to get potential from rely. We additionally understand from Newtons regulation of physic that each and each action ha an equivalent reaction. So, taking dynamic potential one ought to create each little thing and initiate up the action of each little thing created interior the expanse with order. is this logical? confident! Is it genuine? It ought to be because of the fact we proceed to discover greater approximately it employing the guidelines of physics and arithmetic. So this could open the biggest question of all, in basic terms who or what created it? This my chum im going to pas away a much as you to compliment.
