Earlier tonight me and my friend were about to go to sleep because my brother and other friend were and it was about 3:15 so we were talking a little and nothing is on and there was a flash of light it looked like it started from a small thing in the center and then spread out. but it was only a second, i would blow it off if only i saw it but we both did and also earlier that night i heard a almost demonic voice say hello. and thought it was my brother trieing to scare me so i beat the shit out of him lol. but anyone know if thats ligit for a ghost encounter

You really shouldn"t be violent when ghosts are about. You say you beat the **** out
of your brother. That was a very foolish thing to do and maybe the ghost is taking care
of your brother because of your misdeeds. You should say sorry to your brother and
hope the demonic voice and flashing spreading lights go away.

no, this is a cognitive effect called pareidolia where your brain interprets random stimulus to be significant for example you hear a random noise as a demonic hello. this is why we having sayings like it"s just your eyes playing tricks on you, because that is exactly what it was

If this was in the form of Light then it was not evil or demonic..Sometimes when we are in fear, we jump to conclusions such as *almost demonic voice* actually being a friendly or even loved Soul making his or her presence felt..

What you described is legit for a ghost encounter. They can manifest in many different ways. However, it could have been any number of other things as well. Actual ghost encounters are nearly impossible to prove and always seem to have an air of ambiguity. To be certain that it ws indeed a ghost, you would have to be able to rule out all other possibilities.
