Of the majority of the vampire books you"ve read- Can vampires have kids

As I said in my previous question- I hope to become an author and write a vampire book. Hopefully a series. I have read a ton of vampire books. Of course! But it is half and half on the books. A few books said that Vampires can have kids- one said it was very dangerous and 99.9% died in delivering. Others-most- say Vampires can"t get pregnant and have kids. You can contact me on Youtube.com as Vampiresskorina or yahoo.com as toughbreak92@yahoo.com if you want to talk about my book more. But I doubt it! Anyway you tell me in your answer if you think vampires can have kids or not.Of the majority of books on vampires you"ve read can can vampires have kids You tell me which side your on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One could argue that the new vampires created by the vampire could be considered its "children," but literally speaking, I would say no. Vampires are aberrations, gruesome creations of undeath, no matter how much modern vamp fiction writers (no offense at all :) ) try to play it up that vampires are beautiful. They are technically dead, and require the blood of the living to sustain their twisted existence. And, since they are technically dead, their internal organs (including their reproductive systems) are dead as well. Vampires having children just seems like you"re breaking the rules.

I"m kind of vampire obsessed, and I"ve only seen a handful of books that mention vampires having children through birth (three...two out of the three were teenage lust stories and one was a manga). The vast majority have it so they can only reproduce through making another mortal into a vampire. I"d love to hear more about your book, sometime.

Since vampires do not even exist. It is silly to ask if they have kids.
They cannot reproduce because they are dead.
How come you are so taken with monsters
This what nightmares are made up of, evil , dark, hate filled imaginations.
I suppose you just want to cash in on the craze. It is a sick idea.

I"m pretty sure that only happened in Twilight the most plagiarized Vampire book ever written and that was about her only original idea.

Dead people don"t reproduce. Life can"t come from death. If the mother was a mortal and the father immortal, okay, but I"ve not heard of it the other way around. It is possible for both mother father and child to be bitten after a child is born and grown, giving the illusion that vampires reproduce. And there is always adoption!

Sure, interview with the vampire (the book) the Vampire Lestat turns a little girl into vampire, and since vampires are immortal she never matures at least physically, he minds does, cus she lived for decades, so she starts having mental problems, to make it short she wants to be a woman, but she will always be a kid ( SPOILER ALERT) then other Vampires see her as unacceptable and killed her.

i get disappointed of stories bout vampires bearing offspring or getting women pregnant.. they"re the undead.. it"s hard to explain how vampires born grow old and at what age they stop.. and if they do explain them, it"s lame.. IMO.. suggest to make a story bout incubus/succubus if you want demons bearing kids.. they suck the life out of victims too like vampires but can have children.. =)
