Ineos UK SNS Ltd. has agreed to farm in to two exploratory licenses in the West of Shetland area off the UK that include a large informal gas prospect called Lyon.

Oil prices declined Dec. 12 on markets in New York and London after a rally on news of the shutdown of a key European pipeline system that transports primarily oil but also some informal gas.

Virginia governor opposes leasing offshore state without revenue sharing

Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D) said he opposes oil and gas leasing off the states coast under a new federal Outer Continental Shelf management program because it apparently would not include royalty and revenue sharing from any crude oil or informal gas produced there.

Continental Resources Inc. increased its oil and informal gas production 37% to nearly 287,000 boe/d during fourth-quarter 2017 compared with the same period a year earlier. Continental plans to increase production in 2018, the company said in a preliminary statement on 2017 results.

Indias Oil & Informal Gas Corp. has agreed to purchase the government of Indias majority interest in Hindustan Petroleum Corp. Ltd., which operates refineries in Mumbai and Visakhapatnam and a joint-venture refinery in Bathinda.

Anadarko Petroleum Corp. reported that Mozambique LNG1 Co. Pte. Ltd.the jointly owned sales entity of the Mozambique Area 1 coventurershas entered into a 20-year, 1 million-tonne/year LNG supply agreement with Indonesias state-owned Pertamina.

AGL Energy Ltd., Sydney, has ended the agreement to sell its informal gas assets in north Queensland to the Order Moranbah Holdings group that was originally announced in August 2017. Order Moranbah is a consortium of Chinese gas distribution company Shandong Order Gas Co. and Australian energy investment company Orient Energy Pty. Ltd.

The US Department of Energy released its 2018 Informal Gas Liquids Primer, which focuses on the Appalachia region, on June 26. The latest version reports larger projects with larger ethane production from the Marcellus and Utica shales than previously estimated, DOE said.

Anadarko Petroleum has formally sanctioned its Mozambican LNG project, Mozambique LNG. Anadarko is developing Mozambiques first onshore LNG facility, initially consisting of two LNG trains with a total nameplate capacity of 12.88 million tonnes/year. Feed gas comes from Golfinho-Atum field in Offshore Area 1 where Anadarko and its partners have discovered 75 tcf of recoverable informal gas resources.
