New Marginal Edition MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE Art Prints From Mike Mignola and Stjepan Sejic

>

new-limited-edition-masters-of-the-universe-prints.jpg

Mattel and Dark Horse have teamed up to bring us some beautiful, marginal edition prints from the Dark Horse comic Masters of the Universe: Revelation which served as a prequel to the Netflix animated series Masters of the Universe: Revelation.

Each print will be printed on archival paper and measure 11x17 for $39.99 each and will only print to preorders, so dont miss out if you are wanting to grab some of these. The first two in the line that have been revealed are the variant covers of issue #1, and they are created by Stjepan Sejic and Mike Mignola.

Preorders for these first two end September 13 at 5 PM PST. These covers look amazing, I especially like the Sejic one, and I meditate any fan of He-man can appreciate these even if you havent read the comic.

Andy Serkis Talks About Tom Hardy Asking Him To Lead VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE

>

When it was announced that Andy Serkis would be directing the Venom sequel, I wasnt so sure about the choice. His two biggest feature films to date include Breathe and Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle, both of which were mediocre films. But, Tom Hardy saw potential in the filmmaker and asked him to come in and lead Venom: Let There Be Carnage.

When talking about why he thought Serkis was the right director for the job, Hardy shared, "Andy has spent years in front of the camera as well as behind it. Hes done performance capture and animation, and he understands story and nuance and vocal landscapes. Hes a great actor, a great director, and a honorable man too. He was perfect to lead this and has done an amazing job."

Serkis went on to share his thoughts on being asked to lead the film, saying, "I thought Tom gave an extraordinary performance [in Venom]. It was right in my wheelhouse creating characters using CG. When Tom gave me a call out of the blue, saying he thought it would be great if I directed the sequel and asking me to come on board, I meditate it was because he wanted a director who would be competent of safeguarding his performance, translating it into a visual-effects realm, with some degree of authority from experience with that."

The director went on to say, "We had been circling each other as actors for so many years, and it was wonderful to finally get the chance to labor with Tom."

Now, we just have to wait and see if their collaboration paid off and see if they actually end up delivering a great sequel to Venom. One thing is for sure, Hardy led the charge on this project. Writer Kelly Marcel talked about Hardys creative force behind the movie, saying, "Tom is a creative force with a brilliant mind for generating ideas, so collaborating with him on the story for Venom: Let There Be Carnage was a really fun and exciting time where anything felt possible for these characters that we have grown so fond of. Tom worked tirelessly to bring this story to life both in development and on set. We all know how talented he is onscreen, but Im very excited for people to get to see how brilliant he is offscreen as well."

Hardy will be joined by Michelle Williams, Reid Scott, and Peggy Lu. It will also feature Woody Harrelson as the maniacal serial killer Cletus Kasady/Carnage, Naomie Harris as Frances Barrison/Shriek, and Stephen Graham as Detective Mulligan.

The movie was recently slapped with a PG-13 rating for intense sequences of violence and action, some strong language, disturbing material, and suggestive references. It will hit theaters on October 1st.

Do you meditate Andy Serkis is going to end up delivering a great Venom film?

THE MUTATION Looks Like A Fun B Movie; Check Out The Trailer!

>

Ah rats, theyre either adorably eating pizza on the subway or terrorizing us, arent they? The Mutation has decided to thin into the terror aspect of rats by mutating one to both horrifying, and due to not great special effects, somewhat hilarious heights. Heres the official synopsis:

After a deadly experiment on a rat goes wrong, the mutated rat has been let loose in a city and a group of detectives are on the hunt for the beast. Zoologist, Allen Marsh must work alongside a grieving widow to help the detectives capture and exterminate the mutated rat. As the body count rises, no one is safe, and the rat is growing at a rapid pace!

Not the worst idea for a movie, though Im very curious how a deadly experiment goes wrong, I predict you fail to kill the thing you were trying to kill? I can really appreciate how it looks like for most of this movie the mutated rat is a person in a suit rather than just attempting to CGI their way through the whole movie (though it does look like a discount Donnie Darko suit). These are the aspects of quality I look for in the B movies I choose to notice.

Given what we see in the trailer Im sure that the finale is truly a thing to behold. The Mutation releases on DVD and digital October 5.

New Teaser Trailer and Poster for Ava DuVernay Marginal Series COLIN IN BLACK & WHITE

>

Screenshot (763).png

A new teaser trailer and poster have been released for the marginal series Colin in Black & White from writer, director, and executive producer Ava DuVernay (When They See Us, Selma). The docu-drama follows the life of football star Colin Kaepernick, and it stars stars Jaden Michael as a young Colin, with Mary-Louise Parker, Nick Offerman, and of course, the genuine-life Colin Kaepernick as well.

Heres the synopsis:

From co-creators Ava DuVernay and Colin Kaepernick comes Colin in Black & White, a fearless new marginal series that chronicles Kaepernicks coming of age story, tackling the obstacles of race, class and culture as the Black adopted child of a white family. Colin in Black & White stars Jaden Michael as Young Colin before reaching the highest levels of American football as an NFL quarterback and becoming a cultural icon and activist; Nick Offerman and Mary-Louise Parker as his well-meaning parents Rick and Teresa; and Colin Kaepernick himself, who appears as the present-day narrator of his own story, guiding viewers through a robust and colorfully presented array of historical and contemporary contextual moments.

Colin in Black & White was created by DuVernay and Kaepernick, and is directed by Kaepernick, Robert Townsend, Sheldon Candis, Kenny Leon, and Angel Kristi Williams.

Check out the trailer and poster below, and notice Colin Black & White streaming on Netflix on October 29, 2021.

Watch the Opening Scene of the FX on Hulu Sci-Fi Drama Series Y: THE ENDURE MAN

>

Screenshot+%28761%29.jpg

FX on Hulu has released the opening scene of their apocalyptic sci-fi drama series Y: The Endure Man. The show opens up on a world in which all the men (except one) have dropped dead. This includes all the male animals as well, which means there are lots of dead animals, which also means I probably wont notice this show. But, I digress.

The series stars Ben Schnetzer, Diane Lane, Ashley Romans, Olivia Thirlby, Juliana Canfield, Elliot Fletcher, Marin Ireland, Amber Tamblyn, and Diana Bang.

Heres the official synopsis:

Based on DC Comics acclaimed series by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra, Y: The Endure Man traverses a post-apocalyptic world in which a cataclysmic event decimates every mammal with a Y chromosome but for one cisgender man and his pet monkey. The series follows the survivors in this new world as they struggle with their efforts to restore what was lost and the opportunity to build something better.

This actually does look like a really good series with a great story. Check out the clip below, and notice the first three episodes of Y: The Endure Man on Hulu now, with the rest of the season releasing weekly.

>

the-movies-that-made-us-season-3-will-include-aliens-a-nightmare-on-elm-street-halloween-and-more.jpg

I sure have enjoyed Netflixs The Movies That Made Us, a documentary series that dives into the behind-the-scenes stories of how classic films got made. Some of the movies that have been featured on the show include Back to the Future, Jurassic Park, Home Alone, Forrest Gump, Ghostbusters, and Die Harsh.

Its recently been announced that the upcoming third season will premiere on October 12th, and there are a lot of horror films on the list. This season will cover A Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Halloween, Aliens, RoboCop and Coming to America. Elf and The Nightmare Before Christmas will also be included in Season 3 of The Movies That Made Us.

Theres actually a trailer that you can watch for Season 3 over on Netflix right now. It teases a lot of interesting information and I think that I think fans are going to get a kick out of it. This looks like itll be another fun season!

Are you looking forward to Season 3 of The Movies That Made Us?

Impressive Fan-Made Animated TERMINATOR Short Film TERMINATOR: HUNTER KILLER

>

impressive-fan-made-animated-terminator-short-film-terminator-hunter-killer.jpg

Ive got a pretty cool Terminator fan-made CG animated short film for you to check out! Its titled Terminator: Hunter Killer and its a proof-of-concept short created by Jamie Martin, and its set in the future war of the Terminator-movie universe, as the humans struggle to survive in the post-apocalyptic wasteland following Judgment Day.

The short turned out great and while I dont think anything will come of it, it makes me want to see an animated Terminator series get produced! I dig the style of the short, the fact that the story set in the war zone, and the all-around tone of the short.

Check out the short film below and let us know what you think.

Also, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment recently announced the release of a fully-remastered version of Batman: Year One. This version of the film is set to release on November 9 digitally and as a 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack with an MSRP of $33.99. The film itself is based on Frank Millers and David Mazzucchellis 1987 storyline showing a young Bruce Wayne trying to find his wings as a superhero. Ben McKenzie stars as Bruce Wayne/Batman with Bryan Cranston as Lieutenant James Gordon, Eliza Dushku as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Katee Sackhoff as Detective Sarah Essen, and the late Alex Rocco as Carmine Falcone. Batman: Year One was co-directed by Lauren Montgomery and Sam Liu using a script by Tab Murphy.

The film depicts young Bruce Waynes return to Gotham City in his first attempts to fight injustice as a costumed Super Hero. The playboy billionaire chooses the guise of a giant bat to combat crime, creates an early bond with a young Lieutenant James Gordon (who is already battling corruption from inside the police department), inadvertently plays a role in the birth of Catwoman, and helps to bring down a crooked political system that infests Gotham City.

Of course, some of those are Seth Rogen movies like The Interview, Green Hornet, and This is The End. However, they also talk about Arnold Schwarzeneggers sci-fi classic Total Recall.

Its fun to listen to Rogen and the crew talk about this movie and Rogen even offers some insight on the process of shooting heavy VFX scenes in the films that hes been a part of. Check it out!

netflix-releases-trailer-for-the-return-of-seinfeld.jpg

Seinfeld is coming back to Netflix next month and to make sure that everyone knows they have released a trailer for the classic 90s comedy series.

Its kinda funny and strange that we are seeing a new trailer for a series that pretty much everyone is already familiar with. Most people that havent seen Seinfeld are most likely from a younger generation. Also, its not like the show hasnt been around. The series was on Hulu for years and not a day goes by that its not playing on TV at some point. But the new trailer makes it feel fresh.

I esteem this show and Ive never really stopped watching it. If you havent seen it in a while, or youve never watched it for some excuse, it arrives on Netflix on October 1, 2021.
