New ALIEN: COVENANT Photos Feature a Bloody Mess and an Eerie Xenomorph Hallway

Its been a fun week of Alien: Covenant photos, and two more have just popped up on the web. Its all chief up to the first trailer thats supposed to be released sometime in the near future.

The first photo shows us a violently bloody mess, possibly the aftermath of a chestbuster or something just as sinister. One thing is for sure, whoever was involved with this incident didnt make it out alive. The second photo includes a cool eerie visual of a familiar-looking xenomorph corridor.

Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world -- whose sole inhabitant is the "synthetic" David, survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.

The movie also stars Michael Fassbender, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir (The Hateful Eight), Jussie Smolett (Empire), Amy Seimetz (Upstream Color), Carmen Ejogo (Selma), Callie Hernandez (Machete Kills), and Billy Crudup (Watchmen). James Franco also recently confirmed that hell be in the movie as previously rumored

Alien: Covenant is set to be released on August 4th, 2017.

Cool Mondo Posters For BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES and THE NEW BATMAN ADVENTURES

Mondo has revealed two brand new posters by artist Dave Perillo dedicated to animated versions of The Dark Knight. In honor of Batman Day (which is apparently this Saturday, September 17th), the company is putting two posters called Batman: The Animated Series and The New Batman Adventures on sale tomorrow at a random time on their website. Check these out:

Batman: The Animated Series by Dave Perillo 18"x24" Screen Print, Edition of 225 Printed by D&L Screenprinting $40

I think Im more partial to the first poster, just because I grew up watching (and loving) The Animated Series and never really tuned into The New Batman Adventures. Was that show any good? Is it worth going back and tracking down?

Be sure to follow Mondo on Twitter *** and pay close attention to their feed tomorrow if you want the chance to secure one or both of these posters. Good luck!

Woody Harrelson Could Be Playing Han Solos Mentor in the STAR WARS Standalone Film

Woody Harrelson joining a Star Wars movie?! Thats something I didnt see coming at all, but according to Variety, hes in early talks with Lucasfilm about possibly joining the standalone Han Solo movie!

The report says that hes the top choice to play Han Solos mentor, so well get to meet the man who helped teach Solo everything he knows about the smuggling business... Thats pretty cool! It seems like a role that Harrelson could fit right into.

If Harrelson ends up being cast in the film, he will join Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, and Emilia ClarkePhil Lord and Chris Miller are directing the film, and I couldnt be more excited to see what they do with it and how all these actors bring their characters to life.

One of the producers on the film is Allison Shearmur, who also worked on The Hunger Games films, so it seems like shes impatient to labor with Harrelson again. Production on the Han Solo film is expected to start later this month, and its set for release on May 25, 2018.

What do you all think about the possibility of Harrelson joining the film?

Sundance Review: PATTI CAKE$ Was a Surprisingly Entertaining and Fantastic Film

A poor struggling white girl living in New Jersey with dreams of being a successful rap star? Nah. Patti Cake$ was a movie that didnt initially interest me. The premise just didnt seem like something I would be into, and I didnt conceive on seeing it, but then the buzz at Sundance started to broadcast, everyone was talking about, and I was being told I had to see it.

Reluctantly, and with low expectations, I grudgingly walked into the theater and sat down hoping that I wasnt going to waste my time because time is precious.

Well, like the old saying goes, never evaluate a book by its cover because Patti Cake$ was fan-freakin-tastic! This film was the shit, and it ended up being one of my favorite movies at Sundance this year. It was so much fun to watch, and from beginning to end it was hilariously entertaining.

The best movie I could compare it to is 8 Mile, but this one was even better because it had a uniqueness about it with its amusing and fun characters, comedic and dramatic tone, and kick ass music.

The movie follows a young woman named Patricia Killa P Dombrowski doing her best to survive in life by working two jobs and taking care of her mom and Nana and the medical bills that need to be paid. As a way to relieve the pressure shes under she raps, and shes good at it. Shes a big white girl who grew up being called nasty nicknames, and it carried on into her adulthood where people still treat her like shit. She stands up for herself, though, and doesnt back down when shes challenged to a rap battle. She just rips into those people who tear her down.

As Killa Ps journey in the story goes on, she forms a small group with musical talent to create a demo that will help get them noticed in hopes that it will lead them to fulfilling their dreams of making it big.

This group forms a tight bond, but it isnt without its hard times. But they are able to push through those rough times and create some pretty spectacular music. The music is one of the main things that sells this film because its just so damn entertaining and fun.

The actress who plays Killa P,  Danielle Macdonald, kills it in this role! Shes awesome and she did such a great job spitting out the lyrics to the music. This is one wonderfully talented individual.

The film tells a wonderful feel good story of never giving up and working hard and making sacrifices to fulfill your dreams. I think this is a movie that audiences will esteem if they give it a chance. Its definitely worth checking out so make sure to do that when its released!

Patricia Killa P Dombrowski drafts rhymes behind the bar at a dingy dive, trying to pay off her hard but beloved Nanas medical bills and support her hard-drinking mom, whose own musical aspirations failed long ago. Patti and her rap partner/best friend Jheri share dreams of fame, fortune, and escaping Dirty Jersey for good, but they havent found a producer with the "fire beats" they need. Unbroken by the taunts of local goons, she unexpectedly gravitates to a reclusive goth-metal musician named Basterd, a newcomer who just might be able to help Patti achieve hip-hop superstardom.

Marvel has released an incredibly awesome video teasing whats to come in Avengers: Infinity War! It features interviews with some of the cast and crew of the film including Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), and Tom Holland (Spider-Man). The teaser also features some rad concept art of Thanos and Thor fighting alongside Rocket Raccoon! Watching this video and listening to everyone talk about whats in store for Avengers: Infinity War gave me goosebumps!

Production has already started on the next Avengers film, and everything that weve seen in the MCU up until this point is paramount up to this moment. Marvel promises that this film will be an event like no one has ever seen on film before!

Bring it on, Marvel! Your fans are ready! Infinity War hits theaters on May 4th, 2018. The cast also includes Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Benedict Cumberbatch, Pom Klementieff, Tom Hollan, Peter Dinklage, and Josh Brolin. Im sure we can expect even more than that. Directors Anthony and Joe Russo (Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War) are directing.

THOR: RAGNAROK Director Taika Waititi to Helm a Film Based on Michael Jacksons Chimp BUBBLES

Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi has found his next film project. He will be co-directing a desist-motion animated film based on Michael Jacksons chimp, Bubbles. The movie will be called Bubbles, and it will be co-directed by Mark Gustafson, from a Black List script written by Isaac Adamson. The movie will also be produced by Dan Harmons Starburns Industries.

According to Deadline, the film is an offbeat coming-of-age story that will be told in the vein of Anomalisa, which was also produced by Starburns. Waititi, who also directed What We Do in Shadows and Hunt for the Wilderpeople, talked about the film project:

Its an idea that fascinates me and one I want to develop further. Most people know Im a huge Michael Jackson fan, so the main thing for me is to make sure its respectful of him and his legacy. Im not interested in making a biopic; I want to focus on telling a story that blends fact and fantasy, about an animal trying to make sense of the world."

He goes on to explain that this movie is not about Michael Jackson, its about his chimps journey through life in a human world:

This film is not about Michael Jackson because thats not a story for me to tell or a story Id be comfortable telling its about a chimpanzees fascinating journey through the complex jungle of human life. I think animation is the only way to approach a story like this. I really loved Anomalisa because it was beautiful and authentic in its meditation on loneliness. Im really excited to be working with Dan Harmon and Starburns as we share similar sensibilities and want to tell human stories in unique and artistic ways.

This seems like such a perfect project for Waititi to develop, and I cant wait to see what he does with it. Ive enjoyed every film that hes made in his career as a filmmaker, and this project seems to fit his storytelling style and personality.

WESTWORLD Star Thandie Newton Joining Lucasfilms HAN SOLO Movie

It looks like Westworld star Thandie Newton is going to join the Star Wars universe in Lucasfilms upcoming Han Solo standalone film. According to Variety, shes currently in negotiations to join the project.

There are no details on who she might play, but I can totally see her hanging around in the shady Star Wars underworld, which is where Han Solos story takes place. Well just have to wait and see what side she ends up on. Newton is awesome in Westworld, and shes been great in every other film project that Ive seen her in.

She joins the previously cast Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, and Fleabag actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who is also currently in talks. The LEGO Movie directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller are currently directing the untitled film. Shell make a great addition to the cast.

The movie is set to hit theaters on May 25, 2018.
