According to Eliza Dushku, she and Joss Whedon are going to team up again for a new film. As you know they worked together on the TV series Dollhouse. Unfortunately the show got cancelled due to lack of viewership. Here is what Dushku recently revealed to Hollywoodlife,

I would say that we would [be working on something new very soon]! I think wersquo;re going to work on a kickass feature together that wersquo;ve been thinking about for a few years.

Our friends over at /Film suggest that the possible film they could be working on is a horror movie Whedon has been talking about called Goners.nbsp;

It would definitely be awesome if this was the film they were going to start working on. Whedon has described the film as the following:

It is a fantasy thriller, it is pretty dark and itrsquo;s all me. So people will pretty much know what that means if they look at my body of work. But itrsquo;s a new universe set in the present day with a new concept for me and a new bunch of characters. Itrsquo;s been a long time since I got to do that, so thatrsquo;s really fun.

Itrsquo;s the story of a young womanrsquo;s journey that involves a great deal of horror and some heroics.

It would be cool to see this film finally realized, but there"s always a chance that the project they have in mind is something completely new, fresh and different.nbsp;

Only time will tell what their new film project will be.

Sacha Baron Cohen and Ben Stiller"s Avatar Sketch Cut From Oscar Telecast

Last year, Sacha Baron Cohennbsp;mdash; a.k.a Ali G, Borat and Bruuml;no mdash;nbsp;caused quite the controversy at the MTV Movie Awards when (in character asnbsp;Bruuml;no)nbsp;henbsp;reverse mounted Eminem whilenbsp;wearing nothing but angel wings and a thong. Eminem looked genuinely pissed, but it was later revealed that the rapper was in-on-the-joke, and that it was all rehearsed... or so they say.

It doesn"t look like James Cameron is as good of a sport with the kind self-deprecating hijinks that Baron Cohen had planned. Just a week after being announced asnbsp;as an Oscar presenter by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Baron Cohen"s name has vanished from the list. Whynbsp;Apparently Oscar Telecast show producer,nbsp;Bill Mechanic, pulled the plug onnbsp;annbsp;Avatarnbsp;sketch planned by Baron Cohen and his Madagascar 1amp;2 cast matenbsp;Ben Stiller.

NYMag reported the details of what the sketch entailed:

Baron Cohen planned to appear onstage as a blue-skinned, female Narsquo;vi, with Stiller translating ldquo;herrdquo; interplanetary speech. As the skit went on, though, it would become clear that Stiller wasnrsquo;t translating properly, because Cohen would grow ever more upset. At its climax, an infuriated Baron Cohen would pull open ldquo;herrdquo; evening gown to reveal that s/he was pregnant, knocked up with Cameronrsquo;s love child, and would go on to confront her baby daddy as if s/he were on Jerry Springer.

Mechanic is quite familiar with Cameron"s sense of humor... or lack thereof -- henbsp;was head of Twentieth Century Fox when Cameronrsquo;snbsp;Titanicnbsp;famously went massively over budget and over schedule. He was worried that Cameron would be so offended by the sketch that he might even walk out of the Oscar broadcast on live TV. Since Best Director and Best Picture are the last awards presented, and Cameron is a frontrunner for both, it would be pretty bad if he wasn"t there to accept them

Baron Cohenrsquo;s spokesman, Matt Labov, said of the departure:

I hate to use the term, because it"s so ubiquitous, but there were lsquo;creative differences.rsquo; Nothing acrimonious, but both sides felt that since they couldnrsquo;t agree, [Cohen] might as well remain in London.

The sketch didn"t sound all that funny, so I don"t really see the loss. From what I"ve seen in the interviews Cameron gives, he seems like a pretty easy going guy. But I"m sure Mechanic knows his limits.

Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin will serve as co-hosts of the 82nd annual Academy Awards, which will benbsp;held this weekend.

NBC announced recently that it"s renewed it"s full Thursday-night comedies. It"s no surprise that they"ve picked up 30 Rock and the The Office for the 2010-11 season, but I"m happy to see thatnbsp;Community got picked up for a second season. I hoped it would, it"s one of my favorite sitcoms on TV right now. It was previously announced that Parks and Recreation will get another season as well.

Here"s the full announcement:

NBC has renewed three more of its Thursday-night comedies - "30 Rock" (9:30-10 p.m. ET), "The Office" (9-9:30 p.m. ET) and the freshman series "Community" (8-8:30 p.m. ET) for the 2010-11 season. The returning programs join the previously announced "Parks and Recreation" (Thursdays, 8:30-9 p.m. ET) that also will return for next season.

The announcement was made by Angela Bromstad, President, Primetime Entertainment, NBC and Universal Media Studios.

"We are happy to give these early pickups to these critically acclaimed, incredibly funny comedies," said Bromstad. "As a result, we look forward to continuing our rewarding partnership with the respective creative teams and talented show-runners for "30 Rock," "The Office" and "Community" as they all consistently deliver quality shows."

First-year comedy "Community" is averaging a 2.7 rating, 7 share in adults 18-49 and 5.9 million viewers overall so far this season, with "Community" originals winning the time period among adults 18-34 and men 18-34. Since moving to the Thursday 8-8:30 p.m. (ET) half-hour on October 8, "Community" has improved the time period by 24 percent versus NBC"s adult 18-49 average earlier in the season.

Currently in its sixth season, "The Office" is network television"s #1 primetime scripted series among adults 18-34 and is NBC"s #1 scripted series in the key demographic of adults 18-49. "The Office" regularly finishes #2 in its highly competitive time period in adults 18-49 ahead of CBS"s "CSI." The most recent "Office" telecast on March 4 outscored ABC"s "Grey"s Anatomy," marking the first time "The Office" has topped "Grey"s" head-to-head in adults 18-49. For the season through 23 weeks, "The Office" is averaging a 4.9 rating, 12 share in adults 18-49 and 9.4 million viewers overall, representing gains versus last season of 4 percent in 18-49 and 3 percent in total viewers.

Currently in its fourth season, "30 Rock" is averaging a 3.4 rating, 8 share in adults 18-49 and 6.9 million viewers overall, with "30 Rock" originals winning the time period among men 18-34 and men 18-49 despite airing opposite the concluding half-hours of ABC"s "Grey"s Anatomy" and CBS"s "CSI." "30 Rock" is the most upscale comedy on broadcast primetime television when ranked by its concentration of homes with $100,000-plus incomes in its adult 18-49 audience.

The Emmy Award-winning comedy series "30 Rock" is told through the comedic voice of Emmy and two-time Golden Globe winner Tina Fey ("Saturday Night Live") as variety show producer Liz Lemon and features Emmy and three-time Golden Globe winner Alec Baldwin ("The Departed") as top network executive Jack Donaghy. Also starring are Tracy Morgan, Jane Krakowski, Scott Adsit, Jack McBrayer, Judah Friedlander and Keith Powell.

"30 Rock" is from Broadway Video amp; Little Stranger, Inc. in association with Universal Media Studios. The executive producers are Lorne Michaels ("Saturday Night Live"), Fey, Marci Klein ("Saturday Night Live"), David Miner ("Human Giant") and Robert Carlock ("Friends").

"The Office" is the Emmy Award-winning comedy series from Deedle-Dee Productions, Reveille and Universal Media Studios. The show offers a hilarious documentary-style look into the humorous and sometimes poignant foolishness that plagues the world of 9-to-5 and is based on the award-winning BBC hit. Golden Globe winner and Emmy nominee Steve Carell ("Get Smart," "Little Miss Sunshine") stars as pompous regional manager Michael Scott..

Also starring are Jenna Fischer ("Walk Hard"), John Krasinski ("Leatherheads"), Rainn Wilson ("The Rocker") and B.J. Novak ("Punk"d"). Other series stars are Ed Helms ("The Hangover"), Leslie David Baker ("Malcolm in the Middle"), Brian Baumgartner ("Arrested Development"), Kate Flannery ("The Heir Apparent"), Mindy Kaling ("The 40-Year-Old Virgin"), Angela Kinsey ("Tripping Forward"), Paul Lieberstein (writer, "King of the Hill"), Oscar Nuez ("Halfway Home"), Phyllis Smith ("Arrested Development"), Creed Bratton (former member of The Grass Roots) and Craig Robinson ("Curb Your Enthusiasm"). "The Office" is executive-produced by Ben Silverman, Greg Daniels, who developed the series for American audiences, Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant, Howard Klein and Paul Lieberstein.

From Dan Harmon ("The Sarah Silverman Program") and Emmy Award-winners Joe and Anthony Russo ("Arrested Development") comes "Community," a smart comedy series about a band of misfits who attend Greendale Community College. At the center of the group is Jeff Winger (Joel McHale, "The Soup"), a fast-talking lawyer whose degree has been revoked and forms a study group. Also starring are comedy legend Chevy Chase ("Chuck"), Gillian Jacobs ("The Book of Daniel"), Yvette Nicole Brown ("Rules of Engagement"), Danny Pudi ("Greek"), Alison Brie ("Mad Men"), Donald Glover ("30 Rock") and Ken Jeong ("The Hangover").

"Community" is a production of Krasnoff Foster Entertainment, Harmonious Claptrap, Russo Brothers production and Universal Media Studios in association with Sony Pictures Television. Russ Krasnoff ("The Soloist"), Dan Harmon, Joe Russo, Anthony Russo, Garrett Donovan ("Scrubs"), Neil Goldman ("Scrubs") and Gary Foster ("The Soloist") serve as executive producers.

"Parks and Recreation," starring Amy Poehler (NBC"s "Saturday Night Live"), is a production of Deedle-Dee Productions and Universal Media Studios. Along with Greg Daniels (NBC"s "The Office") and Michael Schur ("The Office"), Howard Klein and David Miner also serve as executive producers for the series.

Director: Tim Burton

Cast: Mia Wasikowska, Marton Csokas, Anne Hathaway, Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Crispin Glover, Matt Lucas

Synopsis:nbsp;

ALICE IN WONDERLAND, a magical and imaginative twist on some of the most beloved stories of all time. 19mdash;yearmdash;old Alice, who returns to the whimsical world she first encountered as a young girl, reuniting with her childhood friends: the White Rabbit, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, the Dormouse, the Caterpillar, the Cheshire Cat, and of course, the Mad Hatter. Alice embarks on a fantastical journey to find her true destiny and end the Red Queenrsquo;s reign of terror.nbsp;

Review:

Tim Burton has made some great films in his day, therersquo;s no doubt that the guy has an incredible imagination, and hersquo;s proved that hersquo;s got some great talent. Unfortunately his Alice in Wonderland film was a very mediocre film. I didnrsquo;t hate the movie, but I didnrsquo;t like it either. I walked out of this film with anbsp; indifferent attitude. I was expecting a great Tim Burton film, but in the end it was the Tron Legacy trailer that stole the show.

There was nothing in Alice in Wonderland that made me go, ldquo;Wow! That was awesome!rdquo; Nothing stood out, it was just a very plain film with the formula look of Tim Burton. The film didnrsquo;t spark any type of emotion within me, I didnrsquo;t care for the characters, I didnrsquo;t really laugh, I didnrsquo;t care about the story being told because it wasnrsquo;t told in a way that interested me. I enjoyed the original animated Disney film better. It was much more fun, wacky, insane and organized than this live action version.nbsp;

I liked the style that Burton brought to the film and there were a couple cool little scenes like Alice crossing a moat full of decapitated heads. Most of the film was like Tim Burton wanted to go dark and tell a great story, but I think because it was Disney he was forced to hold back what he really wanted to do.nbsp;

The special effects in the film along with the 3D was incredibly distracting. Crispin Gloverrsquo;s character with the full CGI body annoyed the hell out of me. Then the 3D conversion that was done on the film really didnrsquo;t work for me, it was off. The only reason I went to see it in 3D in the first place was to see the Tron Legacy trailer. Otherwise I would have watched it in 2D.nbsp;

The acting in the film was okay, I enjoyed the performances of Mia Wasikowska as Alice and Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen. But I wasnrsquo;t sure about Johnny Depprsquo;s performance of the Mad Hatter. It was fun at first, but as the movie went on I just got tired of it, and I couldnrsquo;t figure out what he and Burton were trying to accomplish with the character, I thought it was really odd when the Hatter would all of a sudden break out into a Scottish accent. I didnrsquo;t enjoy his performance as much as I thought I would.

The film completely lost me near the end of the film when the Mad Hatter broke out into this incredibly stupid dance with this awful music that was so out of place and so ridiculous. I donrsquo;t think anyone in the audience knew how to react to it either. They built this dance up throughout the movie with certain characters talking about it, but it could have done without it and no one would have missed it.nbsp;

Like I said, its not like I hated the film, but I didnrsquo;t like it either. Itrsquo;s a film I wouldnrsquo;t have gone out of my way to see if I knew what it would have been like. There are a few people I know that did like the movie, and it ended up meeting their expectations. I understand that therersquo;s an audience out there that will like this movie. It just didnrsquo;t live up to what I was expecting. Itrsquo;s definitely a movie that kids should really enjoy, after all it was made for them. I thought Tim Burton was a perfect match to bring this story to the big screen, but I think it could have been done so much better in the hands of another director.

If yoursquo;ve seen the movie, please let me know what you thought! If you liked the movie tell me why.

Hey gang! The 30th annual Razzie Award winners have been announced! For those of you who don"t know, The Razzies are the complete opposite of the Oscars. It celebrates the worst of the worst in Hollywood.nbsp;It"s always fun to see what movies and actors were voted worst of the year, and it looks like these awards did a great job covering the worst films of 2009.

This year Sandra Bullaock actually showed up for the awards to accept her Worst Actress Award. Thats pretty damn awesome if you ask me! It"s good to know she has a sense of humor. She will also be attending the Oscars tonight where she is up for Best Actress for her role in The Blind Side, it would be cool if she won it.nbsp;

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen took home the top prize for worst film of the year. Personally I thought G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra was worst.nbsp;

Here is the complete list of winners:

Worst Picture of 2009
Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen

Worst Actress of 2009
Sandra Bullock (All About Steve)

Worst Actor(s) of 2009
All Three Jonas Brothers (Jonas Brothers: The 3-D Concert Experience)

Worst Screen Couple
Sandra Bullock amp; Bradley Cooper (All About Steve)

Worst Supporting Actress
Sienna Miller (G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra)

Worst Supporting Actor
Billy Ray Cyrus (Hannah Montana: The Movie)

Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-off or Sequel
Land of The Lost

Worst Director
Michael Bay (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen)

Worst Screenplay
Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen (Written by Ehren Kruger amp; Roberto Orci amp; Alex Kurtzman)

Worst Picture of the Decade

Worst Actor of the Decade
Eddie Murphy (Nominated for 12 Razzies/Winner of 3)

Worst Actress of the Decade
Paris Hilton (Nominated for 5 Razzies/Winner of 4)

Here"s Sandra Bollock"s acceptance speech, which is pretty funny:

Fright Night is one of those classic 1980"s horror films that really has no business being remade. Not that it"s an untouchable kind of film, it"s just why There"s really no point. If a studio wants to make a dark comedic vampire movie then why not develop an original idea I loved the original film, but it"s not like there a huge fan base for it.nbsp;

The film is being developed by DreamWorks, and it"s a high priority for them. According to the LA Times a director is currently in negotiations to develop the film. The directors name is Craig Gillespie, who also helmed the great little 2007 indie comedy Lars and the Real Girl. Gillespie hasn"t directed a horror film before so this will be a first for him.nbsp;

We previously reported that the film is being written by Marti Noxon.nbsp;She is a writer and producer on the hit TV shownbsp;Mad Men, she has also been a writer/producer on hit shows such asnbsp;Buffy the Vampire Slayernbsp;andnbsp;Angel.

The original film follow a horror movienbsp;buff named Charlie Brewster, who believes that his next door neighbor Jerry Dandridgenbsp;is a vampire. His belief is strengthened when mysterious deaths of girls are reported. When Dandridge confronts Charlie in his own bedroom one night and tries to kill him, Charlie concludes that the monster must be destroyed. But since nobody believes his story, he enlists the help of Peter Vincent, the vampire killer from his favorite horror TV show, who is in fact sceptical about vampires existing for real.

If you haven"t seen the original film yet you should give it a whirl, I think you would enjoy it. But this remake is just another studio"s attempt to cash in on the current vampire fad in hollywood.
