Here we have one of our first real possibilities of who could end up playing Captain America in Marvel"s upcoming film. Apparently actor Ryan McPartlin from the NBC TV show Chuck has auditioned for the role of the Captain. The actor himself confirmed this with Moviehole in a interview where he said,

The one thing I can"t stand are these actors that are twittering about auditioning for Captain America. It"s really tacky. With that said, it is in the casting process and like many other actors, I read for it, so we"ll wait and see what happens. Regardless, I"m pretty psyched to be Captain Awesome for the time being.

But, like he said there are a ton of other young actors out there that have auditioned for the role of Steve Rogers A.K.A. Captain America, but I guess it gives us a good idea of the type of actors that Marvel and director Joe Johnston are looking for in an actor to take on the role.

Who knows who of these many actor will be cast, but for conversation sake what would you think about McPartin taking on the role

It looks like we are eventually going to get an in-depth look at the history of DC Comics in a new documentary being created by director Jeffrey Blitz (Spellbound,nbsp;Rocket Science,nbsp;Lucky) and producer Sean Welch.nbsp;

They revealed to Collider at the Sundance Film Festival that we may be able to watch this documentary at this years San Diego Comic-Con which is the perfect venue to premiere a movie like this. Welch said the project got started after DC Comic contacted them and asked if they wanted to do it.

DC Comics contacted us and asked if we would do this.nbsp; Jeff and the director are comic book enthusiasts since they were kids and remain comic book enthusiasts.nbsp; So yes, we have access to their archives, their material, their covers, their panels, the creatives and the executives in the DC world.

I"m a huge comic book fan and there is definitely a great and interesting story to be told in the history of DC Comics. I really hope they get into the good nitty gritty stuff. Like most companies there are a crazy amount of stories that deal with stealing, backstabbing, and drama. I want the real deal, I don"t want to see a sugar coated one sided view of DC Comics. I want to know all the interesting stuff, not the stuff we already know.nbsp;

Check out the video interview below where the project is talked about more in depth.nbsp;

After Pierre Morel was brought in to direct Dune for Paramount Pictures it was assumed that he would hire a new writer for the project, due to the fact he doesn"t want to direct the script that was written for Peter Berg when he was going to direct the film.nbsp;

Chase Palmer has been brought in to implement Morel"s ideas into the original screenplay written by Josh Zetumer. Morel, who directed Taken and From Paris With Love,nbsp;is looking to stay as close to Frank Herbert"s classic 1965 novel as possible.nbsp;

Palmer has no prior feature film writing credits, but someone thinks he"s got talent, so lets see what he"s got. Not a bad film to start a career with though. Kevin Misher and Richard Rubinstein are producing the new Dune film, which they hope will spark a franchise.

Morel is a huge fan of the Dune novel so I have a feeling this movie is going to be a solid film adaptation.

Alicia Silverstone will reunite with her Cluelessnbsp;writer-director Amy Heckerlingnbsp;on the modern-day vampire tale,nbsp;Vamps.

Silverstone and Krysten Ritter (Confessions of a Shopaholic, Woke Up Dead) -- in her first lead feature role -- will star as two female vampires who live it up in New York until love enters the picture, when each has to make a choice that will jeopardize their immortality.

Do we even need to make a fuss that another lackluster sounding vampire movie is being made Maybe if these two girls killed the Sex amp; The City gang, this is something I could get behind. I would hope for a more ensemble film, which this could be, for Heckerling and Silverstone to recapture the magic they had with Clueless.

Both Heckerling and Silverstone seem to have bottomed out when it comes to features. Heckerling directed the comedy classic Fast Times at Ridgemont High, and had the box-office by the throat with Look Who"s Talking.nbsp;Everyone loved Silverstone back in the mid 90"s in the ditzy blonde role innbsp;Clueless... that is until everyone realized, she really is just a ditzy blonde. She put the nails on the coffin playing Batgirl in Batman amp; Robin, and let"s be honest guys... the looks faded and faded fast.

Vamps will begin lensing in April. Lauren Versel and Maria Teresa Arida, and Molly Hassell will produce throughnbsp;Red Hour Films and Lucky Monkey Pictures, respectively.

What do you think of Silverstone and Heckerling reuniting for VAMPS

Bryce Dallas Howard has joined the cast of the film formerly titlednbsp;I"m With Cancer.nbsp;James McAvoy, Seth Rogen and Anna Kendrick were already on board to star in the film, which is being directed by Jonathan Levine from a script by Will Reiser.

The story follows a man played by McAvoy who learns he has cancer and successfully battles the disease over several years. The character is based on the real experiences of screenwriter Reiser, who won his own fight with cancer in his mid-20s.

Summit Entertainment has acquired North American rights to Mandate"s comedy, and the film will start shooting later this month in Vancouver.

Star Wars, Star Trek Matrix Themed Home Theaters - Guess which one Cost $900,000

You may remember the Stargate Home Theater that guy spent $70,000 on. If you thought that was crazy --and let"s be clear, it is -- here"s some more sci-fi themed theaters, and one of them cost close to ONE MILLION dollars! I already hate having to pay full price on DVD"s. As much as I love gathering with my friends and family and watching movies, I can"t justify spending a million dollars on a home theater -- especially one that only seats 11 people! I guess if you"ve got the money, what can I argue

Some of these are pretty amazing. Thanks to SciFiWire for the find at CEPro.nbsp;Check out these sci-fi themed home theaters, and let us know what you think.

Director Martin Scorsese and actor Robert Di Niro have made some great movies with each other over the years, Raging Bull, Taxi Driver, Cape Fear and the last movie the worked together on was Casino in 1995. It looks like they"re planning to reteam once again on a new project that will take place in the mobster world, a world that these two talents are very familiar with. Scorsese recently revealed in a interview,

Bob De Niro (and I) are talking about something that has to do with that world. There"s no doubt about that. We"re working on something like that, but it"s from the vantage point of older men looking back, none of this running around stuff.

I think it"s great that these to powerhouse talents are going to team up once again for a mob guy style film. What do you all think

Sarsgaard talks GREEN LANTERN and Waltz reveals Major Spoiler for THE GREEN HORNET

While at the the Santa Barbara International Film Festival this past Friday night, Christoph Waltz and Peter Sarsgaard were both presented with the Cinema Vanguard Award for their noteworthy contributions to films in 2009. Waltz took home the award for his scene stealing performance as Col. Hans Landa in Inglourious Bastards, and Sarsgaard was honored for the amazing tight-rope walk of a performance he did in An Education.

SuperHeroHype caught up with both of the actors at the event, and talked about their respective upcoming roles in The Green Hornet and Green Lantern.

While Sarsgaard stayed mostly tight-lipped about his role as villainous pathologist Dr. Hector Hammond in Martin Campbell"s adaptation of DC"s Green Lantern, he confirmed the March start date for production, and talked about his excitement in reuniting with Tim Robbins, who"s been cast as Senator Hammond, the disappointed father of Sarsgaard"s character.

Saarsgaard explained:

He gave me my first job - Dead Man Walking. I think he looks at me like I"m this young guy that was in this movie. I think you"re always that to someone. I look at him like he was the guy that gave me my first job and I have immense respect for him. He does not feel like an equal to me. He feels like a God. He"s a lot taller than I am.

Waltz on the other hand, who was the first to arrive on the press line, was whole heartedly more forthcoming, revealing a MAJOR SPOILER concerning the possible ending of the Michel Gondry-directed remake of The Green Hornet, co-written by and starring Seth Rogen.

Waltz plays a Los Angeles crime boss named Chodnofsky, who tries to unite the city"s various gangs in order to form a supermafia. Waltz replaced Nic Cage, who dropped out of the film because he wasn"t interested in "just being just a straight-up bad guy." No loss there, a superior actor has filled his shoes, not to mention Waltz is the odds on favorite to win the Oscar for best supporting actor.

When asked what his character has against the Green Hornet, Waltz explained:

Well, because he"s a competitor. There"s a misunderstanding between the two of them and they have to sort it out through the course of the movie.

But he continued, revealing quite possibly the ending of the movie, but definitely something that most moviegoers wouldn"t want to know.

**********SPOILER ALERT**********

They do sort it out through the course of the movie, but unfortunately it happens fatally for one of them and it wasn"t Seth.

Well, not an unpredictable twist for a villain in a superhero movie or any movie for that matter, but a surprise nevertheless.

But I will say this:

Having interviewed Waltz, I know he is uncannily quick witted and to say he"s eloquent is a vast understatement. So Waltz accidentally divulging plot details he"s not allowed to is unlikely. So either it will be painfully obvious that his character will indeed die, or his humor was lost in translation.

Bean, Scott Vaughan cast in Welsh"s THE MAGNIFICENT ELEVEN

John Adams and Angry Badger Pictures have brought on Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh to helm a modern-day version of The Magnificent Seven, entitled the Magnificent Eleven -- that"s 4 more if you do the math.

The classic 1960 western will be reimagined as a gritty UK comedy in which "the Cowboys are a local amateur soccer team, the Indians run a nearby Tandoori restaurant and the bandits are a group of menacing thugs run by a maniac called Blonde Bob."

Sean Bean (Troy, LOTR) and Dougray Scott (M:I II, Hitman) have joined Robert Vaughan --the last surviving cast member from the original Magnificent Seven -- for the modern-day remake.

Adams said in a statement:

Having worked with Irvine Welsh on his feature film Good Arrows, I am certain that the team we have assembled for The Magnificent Eleven can deliver a quality feature film with massive commercial potential.

I can already here The Streets rapping over the Magnificent Seven theme song. To try and outdo the orginal would be a fatal mistake, so putting a comedic and modern day spin on it somewhat side steps in the heresy of remaking such a classic... not that Hollywood cares. I guess we"ll just have to wait until we hear more about the plot, because I can"t think of a reason that football players are having it out with a Tandoori restaurant. Bad service As for the cast, can"t complain... solid all around, though "Eleven" constitutes a much bigger cast so expect to hear more names soon.

What do you think of the adaptations/updates they are doing in the remake of THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN
