I notice that you're referring to version 0.3.0.

Is that what we'll see on Wednesday? :)

hi dani,

i have installed your modbot onto my phpbb3 forum and so far it works great!

i have made a workaround on my board for myself to force the bot to respond to any post. (instead of asking the user after they make a post)

what i did was create a "hidden link" in each user's post - if i want the bot to make a response to a particular post, i will click that hidden link.

so far it works fine, however i noticed that if i have the bot respond to the same post *twice*, it will turn the original thread poster's name into the bot's name (which is "Nauticon"). it only affects that particular thread, not the entire board.

i have attached a screen shot to show you.

i've been trying to find a way to fix this by looking at your code, but i am not the best with PHP.

would you happen to know why this is happening?

thank you so much for your time and attention!

 hi dani,

the first nauticon with 1674 posts is a real user, not the bot.

the second nauticon with 21 posts IS the bot.

when i make the bot reply to the same post twice, it messes the thread up and puts the bot's name over the original thread maker's avatar.

do you have any idea why this is happening?

The problem is you mod the mod

I need to reproduce the error in order to know what happen.

I notice that the problem could be the user->data[''] or data2['']

When you make the bot reply the second time, are you login with nauticon?

hey dani thanks for your replies and willingness to help :)

i actually had my brother look into it and it had something to do with a variable not being set or something..

so anyway the problem is fixed and now i can have the bot respond to any post i choose with no bugs :D

 hi dani,

ok here is an issue that i would like to address with the way you have the bot handle quotes.

if you go to this thread on your board: cool-t2903.html

and look at the last post that the bot made, you will see that the bot is inserting information into the post that probably shouldn't be seen, such as "[quote:3bha7qxi]"

any way to fix this so that quotes are shown as "normal" on the phpbb board?
