In a year I ll be done with my bachelors degree (which is a double major in history and homeland security). I ve been looking into the National Guard as a possible next step. I ve known for a long time I ve wanted to serve my country and never took into consideration joining the military until recently.
I am married with twin toddlers so this is not something I take lightly. Now, the Guard sounds like a great option (being non-active duty, still home w family for the most part unless deployed, health benefits etc.) but if someone could tell me more about their actual experiences w this branch that would be great. Thank you.
