My dog has not been right for about 2 months. Intermittently vomiting, not wanting to eat and passive. He would be like this for a day or two, then act normal for a few days, then be off again and so on. The other day he collapsed and we took him to the ER and he was in shock with prolonged coagulation times. He received a plasma transfusion and vitamin k and now is home and doing well. The vet said he had to have gotten into rat posion but I have no idea where he could have gotten it from!? I asked our neighbors and no one is using it. Is there any other possible reason for this episode other than rat poison? Oddly enough my other animals have not been right either. My cat and other dog have both similarly been intermittently vomiting, not wanting to eat, passive, and having diarrhea.
