I dreamed of a written symbol but I don"t know what it could mean.?

A few nights ago I had a dream that has really stuck with me but I do not know the meaning of it. I have never had a dream like it so I tried to search online and couldn"t really find any help.

So here"s my dream.

I dream that I am walking along, although I"m not sure where, and I have this feeling of connecting with an ancient being. Not by seeing it or touching it. Just a feeling of being engulfed by a presence. And suddenly I begin to draw a symbol on my left forearm a few inches below my wrist.(ill go ahead and explain as closely as possible what the symbol appeared to be in just a second). After I draw the symbol on my arm I gained abilities. It felt like i had harnessed knowledge of a civilization long ago. I was able to fly around and I felt like I had become mentally enlightened. I don"t remember much after and then the dream ended. But I could not forget the image of the symbol that I had drawn. I tried to search for ancient symbols of it but have yet to find anything. So i figured i would post on here. Any search on google for dream symbols yields answers on dreaming about animals and such.

Here is the symbol.
The top of the symbol appears to be an upside down m but imagine it being boxy and each prong being the same length. Then from the bottom left corner of the upside down m is a line about a quarter of an inch long at a 45 degree angle going outward from the m. At the end of the line is a solid square filled in. Then from the square there is another line about a quarter of an inch going straight down that connects to another square filled in.

It certainly doesn"t mean you "connected" with any other civilization. It was just a dream.

@Crackers: but you can"t spell it. You"d think after 4 years of college and 8 of medical school that you could spell your own profession....

I don"t know the meaning of the dream ut it would make a great book. can you draw the symbol then upload it. The way you described it it sounds more like math and physic symbols than a dream symbol. try looking at greek.

Edit: seeing the picture i have to say it looks more like runes.

I"m a siciatrist. Dreams are based off something that may have happens when you were little. Maybe It is some simble that you saw and you forgot about it. The dream may feel like it means some thing really special but than again it"s just a dream. Alot of times that kind of stuff happens on tv or in movies. And dreams are like movie in your head.

As katie stated below maybe its possible you ahev some connections with earths energy lines

It means that you have to stop the drugs.

I don"t know the symbol but maybe you should try looking at it as multiple symbol too. Perhaps the lines are like spaces between english words and it is a longer message/symbol/divine-hint thing. Example: Maybe the M is the Nordic Rune Ehwaz in reversed position? (they have meanings both right side up and upside down)?

It might also be the Nordic Rune Eolh/Algiz. It normally looks more Y shaped, but there are many different styles of the Runes idk.

The "m" also looks slightly like the ancient greek letters: a, ne, re, i, and ru. There doesn"t seem to be much connections to the boxes though when looking at the greek alphabet http://www.crystalinks.com/linearb.gif

The boxes fit under earth (Squares are common symbols for the earth. To me it represents balance and strength and stability) and the upside down "m" fits with mastery (which seems to connect to your feeling of enlightenment). I"ve not read about these runes so I can"t say more than they look like what you described

I am sorry, I have tried to look at your picture but it won"t come up.

Anyway, the dream is clearly as you say...an actual event. It is a guidance dream. You were met and shown around. The symbol will be of importance specifically to you. Right now I don"t know it, but you need to hang on to it for future reference. You may also never see it again. but if you do, you will have a copy of it. It will be one that"s hard to forget, quite likely!

I have had similar dreams....and have received power symbols, words, etc. Keep them, drawn, and diarise the dream.

Esoteric knowledge comes in dribs and drabs......in other words, slowly.....so go on how you feel, for now. Many of us have had very powerful existences before this one. We bring in energies that we must learn to use here.

It was a great dream. Be glad you went there and remembered it. Someday you will learn more about who you are and why you"re here. We each have a unique purpose. Blessings!
