When 84.8 grams of iron(III) oxide reacts with an excess of carbon monoxide, iron is produced
Fe2O3(s) + 3CO(g) --> 2Fe(s) + 3CO2(g)

Stoichiometry...

Amount of carbon monoxide theoretically reacted:
84.8 g Fe2O3 * [1 mol Fe2O3/159.69 g Fe2O3] * [3 mol CO/1 mol Fe2O3] * [28.01 g CO /1 mol CO] =

44.62 g CO

Amount of iron theoretically produced:
84.8 g Fe2O3 * [1 mol Fe2O3/159.69 g Fe2O3] * [2 mol Fe/1 mol Fe2O3] * [55.845 g Fe /1 mol Fe] =

59.3 g Fe

Amount of carbon dioxide theoretically produced:
84.8 g Fe2O3 * [1 mol Fe2O3/159.69 g Fe2O3] * [3 mol CO2/1 mol Fe2O3] * [ 44.01g CO2 /1 mol CO2] =

70.11 g CO2
