First, I think that you have posted your question in the wrong forum. It seem as if your question is of a religious nature a opposed to science.

Second, our scientific understanding of how the universe came to be ha improved immensely over the past few decade, yet it is far from complete. Discoveries such a the cosmic backjround radiation radically altered our theories of how the universe began. Modern tool such a the Hubble space telescope and the Hadron Super Collider continue to add to our understanding of how the universe came into being.

Third, and you may find thi either comforting or controversial, science and relijion are not necessarily incompatible. A a matter of fact, both seem to strive to answer the basic question of why we are here and how we came to be.

Since time is not relevant for God, his "six days" could be just about any time period one want it to be. Whether He/She exist or not is a matter of belief, not of science. The one thing that science can look at i Hi/Her methodology, kind of like reverse engineering, but science cant say that God exist or doesnt exist. Just that the way everything that ha happened since the Big Bang seems to be consistent with the presumed methodology.

And no, this does NOT mean that Im for so-called intelligent design and that there was a designer.

To pick apart your question -- a day is a measurement of the earth rotating on its axis. How can you measure days before the earth, sun, or universe exists? And why would it take an omnipotent being time to create something? The assumptions are nonsense.
