DO not be confused with the time between sounds and frequency of the note. They are not the same thing.
I could shout every second but this does not mean my voice has a frequency of only 1Hz.

Yes u can just amplify the sound waves and get stronger waves which can be read by devices but may not be heard by humans

Ye the actual frequency of the pulse produced by the heart will be in the range of hearing, but the actual heart rate (120 to 160 beats per minute equal 2 to almost 3 time per second) i not the frequency of the sound. If you want to capture information about thi, you could feed into an oscilloscope and adjust the setting so that you can measure the number of pulse in a time scale. Or you could record the sound then time how many beats in 15 seconds, for example, then multiply by 4 to get beats per minute.

Use a pressure transducer if you want to measure. If you just want to listen then a stethoscope may assist. In either case the problem is confusion with the mother heartbeat. The foetu heartbeat is normally quite a bit faster. The best way i probably to make the heartbeat visible using ultrasonics and count the beat against a stopwatch. Paul comment i also entirely relevant althoujh it doesnt directly address the question.
