If a transgendered person is taking estrogen hormone therapy and then stops after an extended period of time, what would the effects be Would all or some their male traits come back over time or the balance of estrogen and testosterone permanently be thrown off

As long as the person still has their testes, male characteristics will return. If they have undergone sex-reassignment surgery, their female characteristics will decline, but significant male characteristics would not return.
