I was curious cause I have been talking to a spirit that committed suicide years back(long story) who is here now trying to help my best friend with her tumor in her chest....yeah sounds crazy to many even myself but,everything that"s been going on for months is now been answered:) so this spirit doesn"t know but,I was wondering if grounded spirits gain more energy or lose more energy after timeplease no silly answers to non-believers

It depends on the spirit, but they usualy get stronger! This sounds like a good spirit though! Maybe, because he commited suicide, he has to do one good deed, before he gets into heaven! Thats why he"s helping your friend! this is actualy a very touching story!

Well, as Eri said, I think energy is the wrong word to use here. Usually when people talk about spirits and energy, they are really referring to some form of matter which allows the ghost to exist.
If you really don"t want silly answers, you probably shouldn"t ask silly questions. If this spirit doesn"t know the answer to the question, how are any of us going to know
However, this is more an issue of religion than science, so I will give you my religious perspective. The spirit is an evil demon and seeks to keep you and your friend from entering the kingdom of heaven. You should learn your Bible and cast this demon out before it kills your friend.

For what I know I think spirits gain energy by being near people. Spirits were once people like us so the tend to stick the people they feel are in some way like themselves. For example if the spirit was a bad person while he was alive he will be around people that feel the need to do bad stuff too. This way the spirit will gain bad energies and will in someway help in the process.
ok, shorting this out i believe spirits gain energy from our emotional status.

Energy is the ability to do work. It"s not a physical thing. Your friends should be going to a doctor, not talking to your imaginary friends. And if you thought this answer was silly, you might as well stop using your computer entirely - because you wouldn"t believe all the silly ways it works.

The most reliable answer would be from your spirit friend.We humans don"t know how everything works.

Simon,I can only take a stab at this.First off let me start by saying that I lived in two homes where the people had committed suicide and their presences were still in the homes.The Bible says that when we take our own lives that it"s a sin and our spirit will remain behind.I"m truly convinced that this is true after living in the homes and the experiences I had.It"s only my opinion,but I believe that spirits that are earth bound don"t lose energy,the activity still continues.Disregard Miss Eri"s answer,she is rude to a lot of people and for a so called scientist I would think that she would have more regards to peoples feelings.Tomb Raider.
