i was told when i bought him he was male but my roomate seems to think becuase he doesnt have this mount around his vent that hes female, hes a year old and when hes around my male mali, the mali gives him a belly dance, which apparently is aggresive

Females do nod really slowly around males, its a slow up and down while the males will nod really fast

They will, and males will behave pretty aggressively to the females. For instance, a friend of mine had one and it broke the females back O_O

I think the bobbing might be part of the mating ritual in a way, but it could also be a sign of aggression.
Id pop in real quick to your vet and ask.
