There you go, I knew there must have been a reason!

I imagine not everyone can be pleased about the shroud hardware. Although Ed´s peacetime explanation for the white color in the earlier post seemed reasonable.

As far as my own troubles go, I´m having trouble finding the correct cuff devices for the 342nd SS Messkit Repair Battalion. I can never get that quite right.

Having just made considerable progress on my 1:600 scratchbuilt Lissa fleets I can offer the following (following discussions on this subject on this group some months ago now):

Italy: Med grey hulls with black funnels throughout. I have done the masts in brown.

Austria: Black hulls with white lining and buff masts. Apparently Tegetthoff had every funnel painted a different pattern of buff/black.

I managed to purchase a copy of the Czech book that contains a colour plate of all the funnels! Some are quite tricky ... one involves vertical stripes.

This is obviously copywright but if anyone desperately wants the details I can probably do a hand text entry using the book page as a source.

I generally do my French and British ships in black hull, white lining/superstructure, red boot topping, brown masts & buff funnels.

Sorry if I´m repeating some stuff already said here.

Cheers.....Bernie

Hi Bernie,
Please provide the details on the Czech book. I´d definitely like to add that to my library.

Thank you, Ed

Me too. Have the Lissa ships but not the detail on the funnels. Even a simple description would be helpful. For the vertical lines I would consider using thin masking tape - otherwise it can be frustrating.
