I know that you can sue anyone I am just wondering if someone would win.

I mean technically you wouldn"t win, because you would know that the psychic COULD be fake.

They usually give you glittering generalities, and most of them (either themselves or their companies) have disclaimers of some sort that protect them. Most people realize that it"s just entertainment.

I don"t think you should sue a psychic. They would see it coming. I am proud to say I"m a psychic. I will give you a free prediction so you won"t sue me, but I am never wrong. You will always be an idiot, people will always take advantage of you. People are laughing at you . Told you i was right. Your welcome. Sorry that is what I see in my crystal ball

I agree with Ferret. It largely depends on where you live and the laws that are in place. In many areas, psychic services can only be advertised as for entertainment only. But even if you are in an area that does not have that stipulation, there are other things to consider; did the psychic make any fraudulent claims as per the scope of their services for example, did they say, come see me and for X dollars I will tell your fortune or did they say come see me and for X dollars I can protect your husband from dying of cancer

Also, did they represent themselves has having an education in a field that they don"t truly have EG represtent as having an education in finances - Did they advise you as an authority on the subject and tell you what to do, or did they say this is what the cards say

If they did not misrepresent themselves as something other then what they are, and didn"t guarantee results based on the reading - then its unlikely that you would ever win.

In the case of the psychic friends and miss cleo its my understanding that most of the charges were in regards to charging people for services not provided and not ordered. Eg a customer has a 10 minute reading and got their credit card charged for 1 hour. Or someone who didn"t order ever recieving a charge on their phone bill.

I do professional readings, and I always tell people over and over, you are in charge of your own destiny. The choices you make today affect what will happen to you tomorrow and down the road. I don"t believe fate is set in stone and i don"t believe you cannot make changes to improve your life.

I also tell people, regarding a fee, never ever pay more then you can legitimately afford to. If you cannot afford a reading without financially hurting yourself - its not worth it - even if the psychic is the best and the most accurate on the planet.

I hope that helps.

That would probably depend on 1. why you were suing them and 2. what the laws are surrounding psychics in your area. So if you were suing them for doing something that would be considered illegal or harassment in general, then of course you can sue them just like anyone else. However, if you"re filing suit because, say they told you something that didn"t come true or led you on or something, well it would depend. In a lot of places the law states that psychics can only market their services for entrainment purposes only. If this is the case the only way you could win a suit for bad info is if they marketed their services as something other than for entrainment. With that said I"m not a lawyer and I don"t know. If you feel like you"ve been wronged by a psychic, I"d consult a lawyer about your options.

Probably there is something that says for Entertainment only or something like that written somewhere, so they would win seems they have technically notified you.
