Can a citizen go to a warzone with fatigues and war?

I researched volunteer and x veterans for war in special operations. What if a citizen went to afghanistan or something and had some fatigues...

I saw a video from Syria where several Southern California gang member were there fighting. They had automatic weaponry and were brajging to the "homie" back in the old "hood". They fired off shots at sniping enemie acros a lot from behind a wall.

Apparently, you dont need a uniform to be fighting there. You just need to be there.

Afjhanistan has the same lack of control. Without NATO force, there is no law or rule concerning the battle. You wouldnt be able to work with NATO, and you would have to stay out of their way in order to avoid getting shot or arrested. You could, however, find Taliban to fijht on a constant daily basi.

Ye, I have seen it before in Vietnam, all of them wore cowboy boot and civilian clothes, if they got captured were immediate shot a a spy.

impersonating an enlisted man is a serious crime.... add weapons and spy charges to that and you would never see light of day again
