Big Bang Theory allows us to ask what happened in the moments of time prior to it. Before BBT, the Static Theory was the mainstream view where infinite time and space existed.
The views that there are multiple universes out there and we happen to be in one that allows life is not illogical, or that there was an earlier universe that collapsed and bounced, or whatever, are interesting suppositions. But until concrete tests can be exhibited by any scientific hypothesis, it will remain speculative. God as creator is certainly appealing and it explains the extremely fine tuning question, and others, for our universe. But it also raises questions, too. This is not unexpected since faith fades away when facts produce knowledge that eliminates the need to trust.
Further, it seems to me unlikely that the Genesis account makes any attempt to address the Big Bang, but does present an interesting case for observations of the formation of our Sun and planet, along with life forms as they evolved. But, this too, is not science but simply interpretation that comes from scientific enlightenment. Regardless, it isnt going to get addressed much in this forum, and rightfully so.
