In 2015 I was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism provoked by birth control. I was on blood thinners for 8 months and then on baby aspirin for another 3. Then I was discharged out of their care because it was completely gone. Ever since Ive been extremely active: gym 5-7 days per week and extremely healthy overall. In my application for the Canadian armed forces, I was categorized as unfit due to the history of clot: theyre saying Im predisposed to it while my doctor is telling them it was only provoked by medication and Im not predisposed to it. Im trying to apply as infantry officer and can really use any help I can get at this point in appealing their decision.
