I rarely drink anyway (maybe once a month at the most), but it seems like each one of my medications has a warning that I shouldn"t drink. I never get drunk to the point of passing out or anything.

I take:
Topamax
Metformin (I"m not diabetic)
Toprol XL
Spironolactone
Yasmin

I"ve been avoiding alcohol for a while, but Christmas is coming up and I would like to be capable to drink a little. Is anything terrible going to happen?

The problem of taking alcohol with medication is that it intensifie the side-effect of the drug and may also interfere with the original purpose of the drug. If youre gonna drink, dont take meds, but a in any case, talk to your doctor first.
