Can I bring husband overseas at own expense without extension?

I am in the us navy and married to a civilian . I got married after I got my coarse imitate orders therefore hey are unaccompanied to Japan . I am allowed to route a request to live off base . I am recieving BAH for my husband to live in The US but hes living with his mother right now so we just collect the whole BAH , but if I were to fly him to Japan at our own expense and he move in where I get the apartment and we use the BAH to live in Japan how would the navy know ? Apparently I get extended a year if bring my spouse overseas . But thats when I get my orders changed to accompanied and the government flies him over here. Can they extend me if he comes here at our own expense ?
